Policies and Procedures

Admissions

Admission procedures commence with your child’s registration, requiring a registration fee covering the prospectus and entrance examination. The entrance examination comprises two components:

  • A Written Entry Test
  • An Interview

An appointment for these will be scheduled within three working days of registration. Successful completion of the entrance examination prompts parents to submit various fees, formalizing their child’s admission to the school.

Withdrawals

In the event of a withdrawal, parents must provide one month’s written notice to the school office, or a one-month fee will be charged upon departure. The school reserves the right to remove any student from the roll under the following circumstances:

  • Unpaid school fees for two consecutive months.
  • Absence from school for two straight weeks without permission.
  • Disciplinary issues, including misbehaviour by students or their parents/relatives towards school staff or administration.
  • Failing the same class for two consecutive years.

Re-admission (at the school’s discretion) is possible with the repayment of admission fees and outstanding school dues, except in disciplinary terminations.

Discipline

Strict discipline is enforced, and persistent breaches, despite counselling and warnings, may lead to discussions with parents. Termination is considered in the interest of other students and the school’s smooth functioning.

Arriving and Leaving

Students are expected to arrive 15 minutes before the opening time and leave within half an hour of closing time. Playgroup students proceed directly to classrooms under staff supervision, while others assemble on the school grounds for morning assembly. Only parents or authorized persons are allowed to collect children from the school.

Attendance

Parents bear the responsibility for ensuring regular attendance. Key points to note include:

  • A mandatory application for leave.
  • Scheduling medical/dental appointments outside school hours.
  • Promptly informing the school of a child’s illness on the first day of absence.
  • Providing a note authenticating the reason for absence upon the child’s return.
  • Limiting absence to ten days at a stretch or broken periods during a session.
  • Considering the impact of leave on missed lessons and academic performance.

These guidelines aim to maintain a conducive learning environment and ensure the well-being of all students.
